He second married Sarah Ann (BELMEAR) on 4 Jan 1870 in Anne Arundel Co., MD. [35] Born abt 1817 in Maryland. [118] age 63 in 1880 census. Sarah Ann died bef 19 Sep 1881. [12] will proved.

In her will proved19 Sep 1881, she gives all of her interest in the farm that she lived on, which interest she received from the heirs of Samuel Bealman, to her sister Mary E. Craford and her children. In consideration for this interest was the relinquishment of her interests in the real estate of her former husband, James Bealmear, in Anne Arundel Co. She also left all of her personal estate to the said sister and her children. It was her desire that her present husband, Alvertus H. Basford, should have a home and support from the property during his single life. [12]
