Pierce, Shaker Historian) A published list of the Enfield Shaker records gave among the members composing the Shaker Church at Enfield when gathered 25 Mar 1793, the name of Sarah Basford with a footnote saying "apostatized." Another list gives her name as coming to the Shakers in 1791 and removed in Aug 1796. On another page, Sarah Bassford paid to Trustees 49 pounds in 1796. [257]
