Re removed to Shopiere, WI. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War (13th Wisc. Vol. Reg. Company F). After the war, he carried the mail in a horse and buggy from Tiffany to Shopiere, WI. He was a strict Methodist, and in 1855 was one of the originators of the M. E. Church in Shopiere, WI. In 1886 was elected in the town of Turtle, WI, as Commissioner of Noxious Weeds. [1871]
