Her obituary lists four sisters (Mrs. Henry Little of Decatur City, IA, Mrs. H. J. Waldon of Wavefield, NE, Mrs. Phebe Jones of Sidney, CO, M. A. Miller of Clearmont (Clermont), IA) and one brother (D. E. Basford of Omaha, NE). The brother would be Devillo, and the two sisters whose first name is not given would be Phebe J. Little and and Harriet Walden. [1015]

She is probably the Delilah Basford who married George W. S. Lane. The Lanes are in the 1860 and 1880 censuses of Clermont Township, Fayette Co., Iowa. These census records indicate that Delilah (Basford) Lane would have been born about 1841-1842 in Illinois, which would be consistent with the 1850 census record. [549]

[1637] gives her birthdate as 4 Jul 1844. This is slightly inconsistent with her age in the census records.
