The marriage record for “Katie” Basford indicates that she was born in Calais, ME and was the daughter of David & Catherine Basford. [413] Presumably this would be David the son of Moses who did have a wife Catherine. However, David had married a second wife Xoa in 1830, so either Catherine’s birthdate is incorrect, or her mother’s name might be wrong.
She would probably be the Catherine Basford listed in the 1850 federal census for Medord, Middlesex Co., MA, p. 405 [388]
