1. Henry William BASFORD, son of William M. BASFORD (1842-1916) & Abby Lowe PEASE (1841-1917). Born on 3 Jun 1879 in Detroit, ME. [1], [2], [3], [4] Henry William died in Benton Station, ME, on 29 Jan 1949. [5] Buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Fairfield, ME. Occupation: Electrician. [6] aka: Henry H. [7]

He left home at an early age (14) and worked for a time in the mills in Waterville, ME. [8] He then went to California fo a while, and was said a mule driver for in the area of death valley. It is said that he was in the area of San Francisco about the time of the great earthquake. When he returned to Maine he became an electrical engineer at the mills in Waterville. He lived in Benton Station accross the river from Waterville. [9]
